Make The Time For Results

It happens to the best of us. You may say you want to Bench Press 315 lb, show off six pack abs at 6% Body Fat, or even just start moving towards a better you. But are your every day actions helping or hindering your progress?

No matter what you’ve been doing over the past few months, each decision has created habits in your everyday life.

From the foods you eat, time you sleep, or even the effort you give, every action continually molds your day, and slowly yet surely impacts your results.

Now is the time to break the cycle and create change through developing new habits and focusing on your goals.

Let’s start by establishing time for yourself in order to properly execute your game plan, and make your workout goals a reality.

“It’s not that you don’t have time, you just don’t prioritize it enough to make the time.”

This may be a tough pill to swallow, but it does hold some truth.

By sorting through our hectic schedules, we can create feasible ways to make time for what we really want out of life. At first glance, this may seem impossible. Between a heavy workload, social life, and even the need to get some sleep, your schedule can be overwhelming. But in order to push ourselves, we must make time to pump out our workouts, consume proper nutrition, and rest and recover to do it all over again.

Now I’ve worked with everyone from Single Fathers, to CEO’s, and believe me, no one’s schedule is easy. The one common denominator for success though is the ability to create time where none can be found.

Do your goals actually matter to you? Then let’s make them a priority.

It’s not going to be easy, but now we’re going to go through your weekly schedule and write down appointments for exactly when you are going to train at the gym, when you will complete your cardio session, and what time you need to be in bed by for proper recovery.

Be realistic with yourself and your current commitments. Do not however use them as an excuse.

If your workload is busier in the night time, then guess what, you’re about to become a morning person to create time for your goals. If your swamped into the evening, then you are going to need to summon the energy after a long workday, or sneak away at lunch time to create time for your goals. And if your schedule is always changing and never predictable, then you’re going to need to create some consistency with your own gym time that everyone else can work around.

Don’t worry about finding the perfect schedule in the universe. The ideal schedule is the one that fits your personal lifestyle and allows you to properly execute your workout plan.

Once you create time that is dedicated to your goals, it’s imperative that you stick to your new schedule. It’s unacceptable to cancel on your own appointments.

With your new schedule in hand, and your week planned in advance, now is the time to push yourself towards making your workout goals a reality. Make your meals in advance, get into the gym for your training, and don’t underestimate the power of rest and recovery.

You’ve taken the time to plan, now is the time to execute.
